Friendly HR Professional™
A brief note from Ariel Raymond, the friendly HR Professional — about why warm, confidential HR guidance matters, and what you can expect when you reach out.
Hi, I'm Ariel.
I started Friendly HR Professional™ because too many people were navigating ADA, FMLA, severance, and toxic workplaces alone. Not because help doesn't exist — but because the help that does exist is cold, corporate, and full of legal speak. I wanted something warmer.
Friendly HR Professional™ is what I wish I had earlier in my career: plain-language HR guidance that respects you as a person, protects your confidentiality, and gives you a clear next step. Whether you are an employee who needs a reasonable accommodation, a manager wrestling with a PIP, or a caregiver suddenly holding Power of Attorney — you are in the right place.
Friendly HR Professional™ is built with the same compliance backbone used by HR teams at growing companies, wrapped in language that respects what you are going through. Every plan, every template, every chat answer goes through the same care.
Friendly HR Professional™ is not a law firm and we don't offer legal advice, but we'll never let you navigate HR alone. If you want a starting point, the HR Survival Guide in your inbox is a great place to begin.
The problem we solve.
If you run a small business or a non-profit with no in-house HR team, you already know the feeling: an employee raises an accommodation request, someone asks about FMLA paperwork, a severance package lands in your inbox — and now you are the de facto HR department for the afternoon. HR paperwork for small employers should not be the thing that keeps you up at night.
If you have just become a caregiver for a parent or partner, the paperwork arrives faster than the support: hospital intake forms, Power of Attorney, FMLA leave you did not know you qualified for. Friendly HR Professional™ was built for that moment, too — when someone close to you gets the diagnosis and the next question is "okay, where do I actually file this?"
And if you are an employee without an HR department defending you — at a small employer, a start-up, or a contract role — this is the place where HR help for individuals without an HR department shows up as plain language instead of legal jargon. You do not need an attorney on retainer to read your severance agreement. You need a clear next step.
A lifeline in every pocket.
Friendly HR Professional™ exists for the moment between "something just happened at work" and "I know what to do next." Confidential, plain-language HR guidance that meets you where you are — on the device you already hold, in minutes instead of weeks, in the tone of a person and not a portal. That is the mission: every employee, every caregiver, every small employer deserves a warm, knowledgeable answer before the panic sets in.
Trust, in plain language.
What you can expect from Friendly HR Professional™ — no marketing speak, no gotchas.
